On July 22nd, TrailHeads co-founders, Stephanie and Ed Raftery, presented the first recipient of the TrailHeads Blaze Your Own Trail Scholarship with the $1,000 scholarship award. The Scholarship was awarded to recent high school graduate Myah Baird. Ms. Baird will be attending Springfield College in the fall.

TrailHeads President Stephanie Raftery commented, “Our company is committed to helping people overcome challenges of all kinds. We’re proud to add the Blaze Your Own Trail Scholarship Program to the growing roster of programs and events that we support each year.”

Through the creation of our Scholarship Program, TrailHeads’ goal is to recognize and support students who have faced and overcome their own challenges. The 2021 Scholarship will be announced and begin accepting submissions on September 1, 2020.

The Scholarship is open to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students across the nation. The recipient, who will be selected based on his/her essay submission, will receive a one time $1,000 scholarship. The award can be put towards any education related expense from tuition to books to room and board.

Applicants must be 17 or older and be attending an accredited college or university within the United States. The deadline to apply for the 2021 Scholarship is January 15; the winner will be announced on February 3rd.
