On February 25th, TrailHeads co-founders, Stephanie and Ed Raftery, selected the 3rd recipient of the TrailHeads Blaze Your Own Trail Scholarship. The Scholarship was awarded to undergraduate student, Emma Baker. Ms. Baker attends University of Missouri - Columbia.

TrailHeads President Stephanie Raftery commented, “We are excited to support Ms. Baker in her higher education journey. It was a very competitive field for the Scholarship this year. We were grateful that so many students shared their stories with us.”

Through the creation of our Scholarship Program, TrailHeads’ goal is to recognize and support students who have faced and overcome their own challenges. The 2023 Scholarship will be announced and begin accepting submissions in April of 2022.

The Scholarship is open to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students across the nation. The recipient, who will be selected based on his/her essay submission, will receive a one time $1,000 scholarship. The award can be put towards any education related expense from tuition to books to room and board.

Applicants must be 17 or older and be attending an accredited college or university within the United States. The deadline to apply for the 2023 Scholarship is January 15; the winner will be announced in March.
